this is a website that will be given away to one of the Peoplenomics.com subscribers who has an interest in food, nutrition, and health.
The site is here because George Ure (madman publisher/writer) really is retiring, so he doesn’t have time to run off after a new idea. What he sees as a potential whole in the market (globally) is an awareness that there is an intimate linkage between our genetic ancestry, what we eat in today’s world, and what our health outcomes are long-term.
For example, no one in your genetic background was eating HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) a hundred years back. Whether these have the potential to abbreviate life based on how they interact with genetics would be one area of research.
But the big picture of the goal here is to lay out a workable process for a new kind of future. One where people would follow a three-step process toward better and healthier lives.
- Get a genetics test from Ancestry.com or 23andme.com. See where the geographical “home range” for your “ancient body” lived.
- Research as to the foods common (during uyour genetic basing period) and which would have been formative in evolving your predispostions. Things like hard or soft tooth enamel, whether you get gout, cancer, arthritis and things like that.
- Then a measurement-based approach to personal well-being which can be scored and judged on a periodic basis.
Which we will be working on exactly one hour per day until the site gets whipped into shape.
